App User CSV Import: Step-by-Step Guide

We’re excited to help you get your members and stakeholders into the app and ready for launch! This guide walks you through uploading your membership list and promoting your app using your branded QR code.

Step 1: Complete the CSV Import Template

Use the provided CSV import template to prepare your member list.

Required Fields:

  • Full Name

  • Email Address

  • Tags

Important Notes About Tags:

  • Tags are required

  • Separate multiple tags with a semicolon (;)

  • Do not add a space after the semicolon

  • Example:
    Member;Steward;ExecutiveBoard

Additional fields in the template are optional but recommended if available.

Step 2: We Upload Your Members

Once you send us your completed CSV file:

  • We will upload your members into the My People section of your Admin Hub

  • Users will appear as App Registrants

  • At this stage, they are in the system and ready to be invited to download the app

Step 3: Email Invitation to Download & Login

We will send an invitation email to your App Registrants from the Admin Hub.

What your Registrants can expect:

  • Email sent from support@unionstrongapp.com

  • Subject line includes “Action Required”

  • Email features your organization’s logo and branding

We recommend letting members know this email is coming so they don’t miss it.

Instructions included in the email:

  1. Download the app

  2. Tap “Forgot Password?”

  3. Enter their email address

  4. Follow the prompts to reset their password and log in

Once completed, Registrants become active Followers in your app.

Step 4: Promote the App with Your Branded QR Code

Your branded QR code is a key part of your rollout.

Where to share it:

  • Printed newsletters

  • Office windows

  • Meeting sign-in sheets

  • Bulletin boards

  • Near elevators

  • Event tables

For digital sharing (email, website, social media, etc.):
Include your AllAboard Link alongside or embedded with the QR code so users can either:

  • Scan the code (mobile), or

  • Click the link (desktop)

New vs. CSV-Imported Users

New Users (not in your CSV):

  • Download the app

  • Select Register

  • Enter full name, email, and password

CSV-Imported Users:
If they download via the QR code, they should NOT register. Instead:

  1. Tap Login (top right)

  2. Select Email

  3. Tap Forgot Password?

  4. Complete the reset flow and log in
