How do I publish content now and send a content push notification later?

As an admin, you may want to wait a beat after publishing a content item to send an attached push notification. Here's how to publish a content item now, but set a push notification to deliver at a later time.

Step 1: Publish the Item Now 0:00

  • Begin creating a "Publish Now" content item in the Admin Hub. (This is the default.)

Step 2: Access the Scheduling Options 0:15

  • Go to the 'Schedule' section to confirm the content item is set to Publish Now.

Step 3: Set Up Push Notification 0:21

  • Locate the 'Push Notification' section bottom right.

  • Note that there is currently no push notification set.

Step 4: Schedule the Push Notification 0:34

  • Choose the option to schedule a push notification instead of sending it immediately.

Step 5: Configure Notification Details 0:43

  • Decide on messaging. Will you create from scratch or use text from the content item? 

Step 6: Choose the Notification Time 0:54

  • Decide on a time for the notification, e.g., Monday at 10 a.m.

Step 7: Confirm Settings 1:09

  • Ensure the item is set to publish now and that the push notification is scheduled for the chosen time.

  • Once you press "Publish" you will be a able to review your selections. Once confirmed, press "Publish Now."
