What is a GoodLink and how do I use it?
When you create a content item in your app, try not to leave your users at a dead end. Help them take action with a GoodLink.
1. Understand what a GoodLink is 0:00
- A GoodLink is a clear next step you add to your content in the Patter app.
- Its purpose is to keep users from hitting a dead end.
- Instead of ending the experience, it sends people somewhere useful and actionable.
2. Add the link in the Content Hub 0:11
- In the Content Hub, click on GoodLink in the box at the bottom right and add your destination:
- a website link
- an email address
- a phone number
3. Customize the button with a clear action 0:17
- Label the button with a simple, specific action.
- Use phrases like:
- Learn more
- Register
- Apply
- Get Help
- The button text should tell users exactly what will happen when they tap it.
4. Send users directly to the next step 0:34
- When users open the content in the app, the GoodLink should take them straight to what they need.
- Possible destinations include:
- a website
- a form
- a resource
- your office phone
- The goal is to make the next action easy and immediate.
5. Use Goodlinks to turn content into action 0:47
- Good content informs. Great content helps people take action.
- Good links are what make that action possible by giving users a clear, useful next step.
